ABOUT CALUM
Hiya, how are we?
I’m a Self-Shooting DP & Director who takes projects all the way from a scribble on paper to a polished final film. I cover the full production process: planning, budgets, shooting, directing and editing and care a lot about how things look on screen. I hold myself to high standards, particularly with cinematography, and I’m comfortable working closely with clients, talent and crews in fast-moving environments.
BACKGROUND
Born and bred in Oldham, my love for filmmaking started early, making videos of me and my mates messing about while we were in a band, long before university. I later moved to Liverpool to study, cutting my teeth at the student radio station. After graduating, I returned home to work in radio at Key 103 and BBC 5 Live, where I began creating online video content around different shows and quickly realised film was my focus.
After a brief stint at Social Chain in Manchester, I moved fully into video production. Since then, I’ve honed my craft and led projects for clients including MTV, Weber and Nike, filming everywhere from Wembley Stadium to Gary Lineker’s house. Today, I’m a highly experienced self-shooting DP & Director, driven by strong visuals, good stories and work that feels authentic.
